Inspired by his gesture, we launched ARTrueque!, a program to finance the production of operas by children's companies.
In our last ARTrueque campaign! raised € 750 which were distributed among three children's opera companies from three public schools: Blue Dolphins Band (CEIP Joaquíon Costa, Madrid), Star Station (CEIP Mario Benedetti, Rivas Vaciamadrid) y This Is The Way (CEIP Juan Ramón Jiménez, Becerril de la Sierra). The money was used to buy materials (carpentry, makeup, spotlights / electricity, locker room), to pay a lighting technician and to give the entrance of some badges and t-shirts that later when they were sold generated greater income.
When we ask about the reasons why your request should be considered, the children of a company said this:
“Because trust is everything and because we are giving confidence in LÓVA”.
ARTrueque! consists of offering opera companies the opportunity to request or grant small financial aid. Boys and girls know better than anyone that 10, 20 or € 30 can be of great use to your opera companies. ARTrueque! is integrated into educational objectives by fostering autonomy, responsibility and initiative of the students and the cooperation of the educational community. Artrueque! it is one more way of trusting in the ability of children to overcome important challenges.
In ARTrueque! it is students who request the help (representatives of the companies that do LÓVA this course) and it is the students who decide how to distribute them. Children who have already produced and premiered their operas in previous courses collaborate in the search for funds, evaluate the applications and decide the distribution of the proceeds.
