Iggy Pop se presenta por primera vez en directo en Teatro Real
World-renowned “La Iguana” and as the artist with one of the most dynamic and impressive live shows of all time, Iggy Pop represented 70s punk and 90s grunge, building a legendary musical career marked by the recognition of criticism and a fanatical cult.
Some of the artist's best-known albums include The Stooges, beginning with the classic 1969 self-titled debut The Stooges, continuing in 1970 with Funhouse and 1973 with Raw Power. While some of Iggy's solo albums such as: Lust For Life, The Idiot, New Values, Zombie Birdhouse, Blah Blah Blah, Brick by Brick, American Caesar and the most recent: Skull Ring, Preliminaires and Apres, added to various collaborations , have cemented their status as a true music innovator.
These have created sounds that have established themselves as true anthems like: The Passenger, or successful commercial collaborations like Candy (with Kate Pierson) and their hits in cult movies (Lust for Life, Repo Man and Death Car).
In 2010, Iggy and The Stooges were inducted into the Rock N'Roll Hall of Fame and in 2020 Iggy received a Grammy for Lifetime Achievement in Music.
Universal Music Festival continues to bet on the quality of the best events. This time we will be able to count on the mythical artist who will leave his mark in Madrid with a show that we are already accustomed to, the Iggy Pop show, but in a venue as special as the Teatro Real, something incomparable and unrepeatable.
