El Real Junior
Pinocchio Instruction manual for a great puppet show
26 Oct, 24 - 03 Nov, 24
PACÍFICO AUDITORIUM
A story with music in five scenes
Mangiafuoco is the theatre director and puppeteer of the Grand Puppet Theatre where Pinocchio goes at one point in his story, after selling his alphabet book. Mangiafuoco is a passionate man who, with his love for the “Grand Puppet Show”, desperately tries to escape the onslaught of everyday life and the unconditional weight of his old age, driving those with him – Arlecchino, Pulcinella and Lucignolo, Pinocchio's travelling companions – to their limits. Like a Don Quixote, Mangiafuoco creates drama and lets himself be carried away by the fantasies of his grotesque mind, endlessly imagining puppet stories that break down the boundaries between reality and fiction.
