SEASON 22/23 - EL REAL JUNIOR SCHOOLS
As it does year after year, El Real Junior returns with a season filled with proposals for schools and families. This new season is marked by the enjoyment that invites us to creativity. The same enjoyment that brings us together, entertains us and allows us all to grow. Having fun develops our emotional well-being, stimulates creativity and, at the same time, strengthens our social ties. Having fun is essentially sharing, so whenever we have fun, we make good memories.
The artistic proposals selected for this 2022-2023 Season invite us to enjoy ourselves to the rhythm of the music of great composers and share stories (some new and others as old as the world), that will make us reflect. We will get started with the National Dance Company, which offers us an educational program with fun and beautiful choreographies that will make it difficult to avoid dancing in our seats.
In autumn and on Halloween, a "scary" concert that will feature the famous ghosts that inhabit the pages of the best operas in history awaits us... but don't be scared, it is just Fantasma que canta no espanta. We will continue with AIDA (Friendship, Equality, Diversity and Love), a casual and current proposal inspired by the famous opera by Verdi, in which we will all recognise ourselves. In December, we will share the adventures of the Nutcracker and the Mouse King with the Orchestra of the Teatro Real and the wonderful illustrations by Fran Parreño. Once winter hits, Johann Sebastian Jazz returns to the room with the best views in Madrid: our Orchestra Hall, in which there will be a concert for two pianos. Back in our Main Hall, we can also enjoy the New York City Ballet, a dance show for families and schools that you cannot miss!
The circus and the zarzuela will visit us with two incomparable companies: La Maquiné and the Claroscvro Company, both taking place in our very special Sala Gayarre. In it, they will offer us Parade, the circus for the brave and I am madness, respectively. Two shows that will make us dream and understand the complexity of human passions. Finally, we will enjoy Family Musical Feast, a participatory concert in which you will sing and dance together with the Youth Orchestra of the Community of Madrid. And of course, our usual cycle ¡Todos a la Gayarre!, by Fernando Palacios.
We are waiting for you at the Teatro Real to have fun, share and create memories with the family, and experience this fabulous season of Real Junior.
So that children and their families can discover music and dance in a different way, the Teatro Real will screen some of its shows on cinemas all around Spain.
