Fernando Notaro
Emotional and Relational Intelligence through opera
17 Feb 23 - 18 Feb 23
Opera represents not only the confluence of all the arts but, through the stories it tells, embodies a formidable expression of what life, relationships and, especially, emotions are all about. In operas there are loves, betrayals, disappointments, friendships, crimes, parties, battles, beliefs... There is joy and sadness, heroes and villains, adventures and persecutions, surprise. Opera, in short, is the ideal setting for unravelling the emotional universe, the importance of relationships, of influence and its impact.
About the course
This course provides practical and different training on emotional intelligence and the productive management of emotions, as well as the development of high-impact and value-added relationships. To this end, it draws on examples taken from the operas that form part of the Teatro Real's current season, which enhances the understanding of the concepts and the enjoyment and use of the learning.
In an increasingly complex and changing world, the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our results. It is therefore essential to develop our capacity for interaction and self-management. This workshop provides us with a magnificent opportunity to acquire knowledge and tools that will enable us to relate effectively, manage our emotions productively and generate the influence and impact we desire.
About the professor
Fernando Notaro calls himself a musiconomist, since those are the degrees he formally took: he graduated in Economics and dedicated himself to music in a parallel way: at the age of 5 he began to play the piano, and at 13 he was already doing it professionally. This aspect has intensely enriched him both in his professional and personal life, providing him with a differential vision of leadership and team development issues.
Currently, Fernando is a renowned international coach and facilitator, specialised in transformation of leadership culture and development of high-performance teams. He has worked for companies such as Acciona, Coca-Cola European Partners, Iberia, Ikea, Kellogg's, Mahou-San Miguel, Mercedes-Benz, Metlife, Oracle, Puerto de Indias, Springer Nature, Starbucks, Viacom, Vodafone, WiZink, among others.
In the educational area, he is a supervisor in the Coaching programs (individual and team) at the Francisco de Vitoria University, and academic director of the EVOLUCIONA Teaching Leadership program at the Rafael del Pino Foundation.
