On the 20^th of December, at 11.00hrs the Teatro Real will hold its second auction; “La Almoneda del Real”, where the general public can bid for different props as well as tailoring and characterization items that have been made in the Teatro Real workshops and were one day part of some of the productions that were on stage.

Les contes d'Hoffmann (2006), L'italiana in Algeri (2009), A Midsummer Night's Dream (2006), Boris Godunov (2012), Ernani (2000), Giulio Cesare (2002) or La página en blanco (2011) are some of the many titles which are giving up part of their magical elements for this auction.  This edition has a new section destined for young children with item from our educational productions Bastien und Bastienne (2003) and The Little Sweep (2005).

The public can choose between more than 400 objects selected and organized in batches. From large format creations, like gondolas, robots or carriages to more affordable items like Venetian masks, birds or suitcases. Exclusive wigs, made hair by hair, combs designed by renouned people like Jesús del Pozo, antique dresses or costumes made with traditional techniques, complete this sample of unrepeatable objects.

Those interested in purchasing one of these masterpieces can visit the exhibition which has been set up in different areas of the building, with free access, weekends 22-23 and 29-30 of November from 15.00 hrs to 20.00 hrs; December 6^th, from 15.00hrs to 20.00 hrs on the 12^th and 19^th of  December from 10.00 to 17.00hrs.. The public with access for any of the shows included between the 4^th and 19^th of December can access the Theatre one hour before the beginning of the function.

Those who live outside Madrid, or cannot reach the Theatre, may download off the Teatro Real website (www.teatro-real.com) a list of pieces that will go on sale, with its initial price, and send by email the bidding application form.

Buyers may place their bids in advance before 17.00 o’clock on the 19^th of December: written, filling out the bidding application form that will be available at the exhibition and on the web, and handing it in at the Teatro Real, by email, sending the bidding application to pujas@teatro-real.com, or by phone: calling 902 24 48 11 and providing the data required in the bidding application form.

The auction, that count on the collaboration from Auction Segre SL, will take place on December 20^th at 11.00hrs in the Main Hall of the Teatro Real, with limited capacity and preferential access to those who have bid in advance. Pieces purchased at auction can be collected on the day of the auction and the following week from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 13:00 hrs, with a previous agreement and within a maximum period of 15 days, counting from the auction date. This will facilitate the possibility of having the pieces acquired before the Christmas season.
