In the entrance of a circus tent at the beginning of the 20th century, and little boy named Pablo lives through many adventures in order to discover which artist he could be. Although he is not as big as the strong-man, nor as brave as the lion tamer, Pablo discovers that his greatest ability is in his heart. With this production, the company La Maquiné, will immerse the audience in the pictorial universe of Pablo Picasso and in the music of the first vanguards through Satie and Poulenc. A whole reflection on co-existence, respect and treating animals well.
Inspired by the “Rose Period” of Picasso’s painting.
Production of La Maquiné in co-production with the Andalusian Council and the collaboration of the Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona and Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura.
Music by Erik Satie (1866-1925) and Francis Poulenc (1899-1963)
