Applauded enthusiastically at the New York Metropolitan Opera for her performances of Madama Butterfly, Tosca or Peter Grimes, soprano Patricia Racette comes to the Teatro Real for the first time in a programme which explores other aspects of her repertory which are, nonetheless, just as passionate. The audience will appreciate the flexibility of her voice, her rhythm and her theatrical qualities.
Entitled Diva on Detour, Racette presents an intimate programme with pieces by Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter, George Gershwin or Édith Piaf. She will take the audience from a smile to a feeling of shared melancholy.
